Denver Broncos Info:
The Denver Broncos are an American Professional football team established in the city of Denver, Colorado and played there throughout their entire game history. The team competes as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference West division in the National Football League. The Denver Broncos began to play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League and joined National Football League in 1970 when the merger between AFL and NFL took place. In 2016 Denver Broncos won Super Bowl L and defeated Carolina Panthers with 24-10 score in Santa Clara. The Broncos have played their home games at Mile High Stadium from 1960 to 2000 and from 2001 in Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, Colorado. Their current owner is Pat Bowlen and the head coach is Vance Joseph. In 1999 Denver won Super Bowl XXXIII and defeated Atlanta with 34-19 score in Miami.
The Broncos did not win any titles during their 10-year as the member of the AFL and their first seven years in the NFL. Even they could not complete a winning season until 1973 season. Then four years later, in 1977 the team qualified first time for the playoffs in the franchise history and advanced to Super Bowl XII. Since 1970 AFL–NFL merger, the Broncos have won 15 division titles and eight American Football Conference Championships (1977, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1997, 1998, 2013, and 2015). The Broncos have won three Super Bowl championships including Super Bowl XXXII in 1997, Super Bowl XXXIII in 1998, and Super Bowl 50 in 2015 – retaining the record of second most Super Bowl appearances along with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys, right behind the New England Patriots having the record of nine Super Bowl appearances. Their five players are in Pro Football Hall of Fame, which are John Elway, Floyd Little, Shannon Sharpe, Gary Zimmerman, and the most recently nominated member, Terrell Davis.
